Rompers!

I had a dream last night about reconstructing some yellow shorts and some other stuff I bought at a thrift store (yes I had a dream about sewing, don't mock me!!!)  and I woke up just needing to make something!!! So I first tryed to make a knit romper from a t-shirt, I started with the shorts but alas they where too tight (that's what I get for useing a legging pattren) so I made the shorts into a shrug sort of thing. Then I decided to make a romper out of some medium weight teal fabric that I got from the drapery section last year. I have come quite far and I hope I will finish it before I have to go back to camp on Monday.

Whatever you want to call them, rompers, playsuits or onesies, I just love them! :) Rompers are the most versitle type of clothing that I own! You don't have to find a shirt that matches the bottoms you are wearing because it is all one piece! It's like a dress except you don't have to worry about the skirt flying up! You can dress them up or down, heels or flats, evening or day....you can find a romper to suit anyplace at anytime! So now I shall leave you with some fantastic rompers I found :D

All the above can be found at Zesty Pink

These were just from google image search.

So long for now! :)

Back From Camp Number One!

I am back from two weeks straight of camp. I was in Paris for two weeks then I got home at three in the afternoon and left for camp at eleven the next morning. I was not even home for a whole day!! Yes, it has been crazy!

But about camp, it was amazing! I took the counselor in training(CIT) program this year it was really great, there was a week of counselor training for all the staff (kitchen people, maintenance people, counselors...everyone who is going to work there) and then there was a couple of days between counselor training and the next camp. So we CITs stayed at camp, which was a little creepy since the camp was really empty and then I think I may have saw a cougar or a bobcat (scary, but it could have just been a cat[I don't know])

Monopoly......we played it far too much. Hee hee!

The sunset and the river at camp.

The mountains and a lake we saw on the way to Banff.

The river we ate lunch by at Banff.

So then the next day we went on a trip to Banff to ride on the gondola! It was so much fun :) Then we went for a hike once we were up there, we walked a really long way....I was shocked when I realized just how far we went! Then we got to go to Welch's Candy store!!! Yaaaay! I got some really good licorice and some chocolates...mmmmm! Then we went to Mc Donalds for supper. Yes, it was super fun! And on the way there we listened to a Dolly Parton CD, Ha ha ha! Jolene is the best song ever! :)

The view once we got to the top of the mountain(we took the gondola up)

Some of the beautiful flowers that grow up there!

Ah, how amazing :)

The candy store!

Chocolate yum!!!

The CIT group on the last day of camp.

The first camp was crazy, so many people got sick. And there was not one whole day that all five of the campers in our tent were there. One girl got sick the first night so she went home, sometime later in the week she came back but then another girl got sick and went home, then this other girl left early because her family was going on a trip. Then this one girl kept saying she wanted to go home because she couldn't have her way!!! Arrrrgh! But as for all the people getting sick, the director said it just goes to show that God was doing some great things and Satan was trying his hardest to throw a wrench in his plans. Well guess what? Satan failed! Ha! It was amazing to see God working this last week and I am glad I was there to see it! And you know what? I use to be all stressed about starting college in the fall, but now compared to camp it seems like a breeze! If God can get me through camp, he can sure get me through college :)
